Day-of-Show Instructions for Performers + Parents-in-Charge
WHEN? Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 1:30 PM. Doors open at 1:00 PM.
WHERE? San Mateo Performing Arts Center, 600 N. Delaware Street, San Mateo CA
ALL INDIVIDUAL ACT PERFORMERS should arrive at SMPAC no later than 1:15pm. The first 6 Acts should go directly backstage.
If you have any questions, volunteers will be in the Information Booth in the Lobby to help you.
Performers should arrive in costume. If performers are in both an Individual Act and a Grade Act, they can change costumes in the restrooms. Performers may watch from the audience until SIX (6) ACTS prior to their own act. At that time, they are to proceed out of the Theater, through the Lobby, and walk alongside the building to the Backstage Entrance, as explained at the Spacing Rehearsal. Please enter the Backstage Entrance to the Backstage Waiting Area and wait quietly.
When performers report to the Backstage Waiting Area prior to their number, they should check in with a Stage Crew Member. If no one is there waiting for you, please be patient, they will be there soon. The Stage Crew Member will direct you and your performers on what to do and where to go. Signs will be also posted.
The Parent-in-Charge of each Act is responsible for assuring all children in their act gather together outside the Backstage Entrance SIX (6) ACTS prior to their stage time.
Please Remember: You must use the main entrance of the Theater (that leads to the Lobby) to enter and exit the theater.
The show will begin promptly at 1:30pm. There is no flash photography allowed, no running, and NO FOOD OR DRINK inside the Theater. Food and drink in the Lobby is allowed.
